Cicchetti are Venice’s answer to small-plate dining. Vero’s current selection includes combinations such as goat’s cheese and beetroot, gorgonzola and pear, mozzarella di bufala with avocado and tomato, prawns with garlic butter, smoked salmon and cream cheese, and prosciutto with fig.

The restaurant suggests around five or six plates between two guests, making it easy to build a meal that moves between vegetarian, seafood, cured-meat and cheese-based flavours at the table’s own pace.
