In September 2016 The Red Lion was taken on by husband and wife team, Chef Daniel and Landlady and Chef Narelle, who together bring more than 45 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Their unique partnership combines imaginative cooking, premium drinks, and warm service in a relaxed countryside setting.

Alongside their dedicated team, Daniel and Narelle deliver consistently high standards of friendly hospitality and creative, flavour-packed food. Their mission is simple: to make every visit memorable, whether you are stopping by for a drink in the garden or a celebratory meal.

A Taste of The Red Lion

Your fancy might be as simple as freshly caught hake from the south coast, coated in The Red Lion’s own sourdough beer batter and served with hand cut chips, chunky tartare sauce and garden peas.

Or, for those who love a perfectly cooked steak, the grill menu features Aubrey Allen’s carefully selected grass-fed, dry-aged beef, cooked just the way you like it.

The menu changes with the seasons to make the most of fresh, local produce. Every Thursday is Burger Thursday, when diners can enjoy 25 per cent off all burgers, including house favourites like the Nacho Cheese & Jalapeños Burger and the Buffalo Chicken Ranch.

Relaxed Surroundings

The enclosed garden is perfect for enjoying a drink in the sunshine, and is safe for children to play. The Red Lion is very dog friendly, and the enclosed oak post and glass patio with festoon lighting and sails extends the restaurant space into the warmer months.
